MS-Liberation Treatment - New Delhi, INDIA (Boomertravels)
Endovascular surgery to restore blood flow in narrowed or blocked veins from the brain has shown early promise in lessening symptoms and improving the quality of life in Multiple Sclerosis patients. It is an experimental procedure pioneered by an Italian doctor where balloon angioplasty is used to relieve chronic cerebrospinal venous insufficiency and backflow of blood to the brain.
Our European trained interventional neuroradiologist now performs this treatment at a partner hospital. Our first patient, a Canadian, has enjoyed noticeable improvement. This treatment is not available in the US or Canada.
Canadian Heather Ayres Travels to New Delhi for CCSVI Treatment
Albertan Heather Ayres, 53, has secondary progressive MS. 23 years after first MS diagnosis, she experiences fatigue, balance problems, difficulty concentrating and trouble speaking.
Heather and her husband Donald traveled to New Delhi with hope that the experimental treatment would slow the progress of MS and provide an improved quality of life. They did not expect miracles and were incredibly pleased with the treatment.
Immediately after the treatment Heather observed that most of her “brain fog” disappeared. Leg spasms reduced from level 10 to about level 1 according to Heather. Her speech is better. Tingling in her fingers and toes was reduced to some tingling in only her pinky finger. She has better stability when walking short distances, but mainly still relies on a wheel chair. Significantly, her energy level seems “very high” compared to before the experimental treatment.
Her doctor is the director of Interventional Neurology at one of our partner New Delhi Hospitals, Dr. Shakir Husain has received specialty Interventional neuroradiology training in Switzerland, France and Germany since 1998.
Neurointervention is being utilized on an experimental basis to provide relief to multiple sclerosis patients. Dr. Husain will accept qualified patients for the experimental treatment.
Scheduling is done about a month in advance. The typical hospital stay is 7-days to allow for pre-operative investigations, the procedure itself and several days of post operative observation and recuperation.

Dr. Husain is following the precise protocol created by the pioneer, Dr. Zamboni in Italy.Heather received a stent in one vein and was surprised by the immediate improvements she experienced immediately after the procedure.
